Jurong Point Banquet

Had my chicken cutlet for lunch. Not very fantastic. A little saltish on the skin. Overly marinated. Avoid

My wife had laksa. The thick bee hoon is overly cooked. The sauce is not thin and tasteless. Avoid.

Coffee w/o coffee aroma. More like drinking hot water with very diluted coffee smell. Avoid.

Fish and company @ Clementi Central

Had dinner at Fish&Co. Someone happen to celebrate birthday there and the staffs celebrate the event with singing and cheers. This is a wonderful dining experience.
Dolly fish "the Best" does not taste great though the fries is fine.
Salmon rice is good.
Fingerling food bake rice is good though the portion is small. About a third of main dish. More like kids' meal.

White Chicken Rice - Jurong East Swimming complex nearby Big hawker center

The main Hawker center next to Jurong East swimming complex serve very tasty Chicken rice (White). Had it again today... however they've increase the price for the Thigh meat order... now SGD 3 per plate... No more cheap, nice and satisfied :(

Very nicely done Tom Yam fried rice... but remember to ask to reduce the hotness if you can't tolerate it. Slight spicy is nice... Will try it again when visiting West Coast Shopping Center again... :)

Jurong East Chevron - Han's - Chicken Chop + Services

A big group of us having lunch at the mention place. Quality of the Chop is only so so. Think some of the coffee shop Western stall can cook better meals. Service is not great either and we had to queue to order our food. Luckily, we don't have to pay the 10% service charges.

One of the guys waited more than half an hour for his food, and end up realizing his order is not taken and processed. However, we're charged for his food. Of course, we ask for the refund, quickly finish our food and left the place.

Verdict: Food so so, coffee so so, soup of the day lousy, garlic bread lousy, potato wedge is fine. You may not have a choice but to eat there if you visit Chevron during lunch time. Avoid at all cost.

Jurong East Sport Complex Hawker Center - Ba Kut Teh

I tried the one at the hawker center near the Jurong East sports complex. Placed my order at 12.30pm. Food arrived at 1.30pm. You must think that the food must be super great and hence the long queue and waiting time.

How I hope this is the case. I went back to the stall to re-confirm my order twice and obviously they had convenient forgotten my order.

Finally, they came to us to place cutlery on our table. Now we thought the food will be delivered shortly. How wrong are we. After another 15min of waiting, the stall keeper "suddenly" realized we are still waiting and quickly approach us.

Now the food must be really "ready". NO! He came and ask us about our order. We are shocked. He forgets again. You must thought he's an old man. Nope, a young chap instead hence his memory can't be that bad.

Another 15 min and FINALLY our food arrived. We finished it in about 10 min. The food must be great??? Here's the verdict...

1) Finished food in 10 min because we're really hungry.
2) The meat is too "tough"... soup is too spicy (too much pepper)
3) BAD customer experience. The vendor is not apologetic as all when serving us. In fact, he makes us felt as though we "owe" him money.

In summary, a terrible experience, will not try this stall again at all cost.

ps: There are two stalls in this hawker center. One serves darker soup while the other serves whiter ones. Avoid the "darker" one, it is situated closer to the wet market.

IMM - 7 Storey Chicken Rice [7th Feb 2011]

The chicken rice is still relatively nice. The white chicken taste slightly better than the brown ones (yiu2 ji1). They're not serving very much choices of drinks though. The favorite coffee and tea are gone. Can give a miss for other side dishes such as the Pork Chop, Prawn roll, ... It does not taste as good as any typical coffee-shop standard.

Verdict... just go for the chicken rice only.

NTU Coffee - at Canteen 3

NTU Canteen 3 coffee still taste as bad as it use to be. Do not try even if you've money to spare. Don't waste the water to make the coffee. Thumbs down.

Changi Village - Shui Kway

Does not taste great at all. Still the Bedok version is the best followed by the Tiong Bahru ones.

Claypot Chicken at Jurong West Street 41

Rice is rather soft and unlike the normal expected claypot rice. There is little "harden" rice if you love that very much.

Can try if you have no much of other choices.
