LG GC900 Viewty Smart preview: First look

LG GC900 Viewty Smart (sometimes also called Viewty 2) is making a run for it as the next LG flagship. What can we say, when you're blue-blooded, some things come au naturel - the snappy and quite thumbable S-Class UI, the 8 megapixel camera, Wi-Fi and GPS all hide behind a 3-inch touchscreen lodged into a body that's only 12.4mm thick. We don't know about you, but by our books all that gadgetness calls for a proper inspection.

As rumors have it, the LG Viewty Smart is set to start its European tour as early as May or June, despite the fact that it has only been officially announced two weeks ago. Well, it's true, LG did tease us with a prototype back at the MWC 2009 in February, but it's only now that we get to hold it in our hands and see it in good working order. And pleased we are...

Comparação: Samsung Instinct vs LG Dare vs iPhone 3G (por fotos)

Dá-lhe,

A "mini" briga de hoje será via fotos, e entre 3 aparelhos "touch screen" (com tela grande):

SAMSUNG INSTINCT vs LG DARE vs iPHONE 3G

Alright, you three are sworn enemies, so what are we waiting for? Let's get it on! Go ahead, seriously, exchange some blows. No better way to get the party started than with a little speed test; the Instinct's data services still seem to be jacked, but the Dare and iPhone 3G squared off with the LG model consistently besting Apple's by between 50-100kbps over Verizon's EV-DO network (see the gallery for the side-by-side). That's not to say the Dare is consistently the faster phone -- it has everything to do with the network in your area, the time of day, the circumstances, and which side of the bed you woke up on this morning -- but it's an interesting observation here nonetheless. We'll follow up with an Instinct speed test (and another round of testing on the Dare and iPhone) when we can.

[Review] LG Secret (também conhecido como LG KF750)

Dá-lhe,

Hoje eu trago um review repleto de fotos de um novo celular da LG chamado:

LG Secret (a.k.a. LG KF750)

We here at Phones Review was sent the LG Secret also known as the LG KF750, we want you to sit back, relax whilst we give you our hands on out of the box review.

We will also let you know what our first impressions are and of course the main specs, we have also taken loads of pictures for you to look at.

The packaging box that the LG Secret comes in is as always elegant and stylish with all the bits inside packed neatly, inside the box obviously comes the handset plus, headset/headphones, USB cable for syncing with PC, manuals, CD, charger, battery and phone charm for cleaning the LG Secret screen.

Now moving onto the LG Secret mobile phone itself, first impressions when I first saw it was very good indeed and quite shocked to tell you the truth how sexy the handset looks. Now leading up to the LG Secret I have seen the videos and to me they made it look like it would be best suited for a lady, well scrap that idea out of your head because I have had some stunning feedback from friends, family and indeed people of the streets.

On an average 9 out of 10 people loved the look of the LG Secret so much so they kept going on and on like stuck records for me to sell it to them, trying to tell them I cannot as I need to review it was going in one ear and out of the other.

Anyway we have all heard about the LG Chocolate, LG Shine and now we have the third installment to the LG Black Series the LG Secret.

The features within are pretty impressive (Main Specs below), the styling is classy and highly fashionable and welcoming the thinnest 5 megapixel camera seems to do the handset justice. This phone has been specifically made for those who likes the words trendy, fashionable, sophisticated and of course elegance.

Now I am not saying this just because you think I have too, I am saying this from the heart; it is truly a great looking phone.

The phone is built with top materials such as the backing being of carbon fiber which is one of the strongest materials that lasts a decent amount of time, the front screen has tempered glass which adds strength and of course a little shine, personally they could have done without this shiny looking glass because in the sunlight it is pretty damn non existent when it comes to seeing what your doing with the phone.

What I do love other than the looks is the Neon Touch Navigation buttons which are touch sensitive that responds quickly with the commands you prompt.

As said the LG Secret has a 5 megapixel camera and must say was very impressed with the quality of pictures (I will say more about this in the next hands on review), a 5MP camera in the tiny 11.8mm casing is very clever indeed, it boasts 120 fps video and DivX® certified playback as well.

I will not bang on about the specifications as much right now as I will tell you more about this in the “Usability” review, this review is basically first impressions out of the box, just as a teaser I must say the Touch Media function is HOT.

I cannot wait to tell you about the specs and what they can do, because in the short time I have used the phone I have been hooked. The question is “Would I buy an LG Secret? Well the answer to this is and of course after some thought “YES”, personally I like the QWERTY keyboards being it both physical or touch but either way QWERTY is for me, I am not a good one for texting people, that is my only downside to this phone, other than that I would strongly recommend the LG Secret.

Now if you like entertainment and multimedia then the LG Secret is for you because it boasts Touch Media, music, photos, games, documents, and FM radio, it also has Word, Excel and PowerPoint files which are easy to open and the handset is loaded with a Google Package that enables the user to surf the Internet, you can go to YouTube, look at Google Maps and another cool feature which is part of the Media Touch is the motion games that have a gyroscope-like effect enabled by the accelerometer sensor, oh yes just tilt the phone and let the games begin.

All in all I would give this phone an 8.5 out of 10 which is pretty high and a good rating to say YES buy the phone. The reason I did not give is a higher rating is because of the difficulty looking at the screen in bright sunlight, and it has a conventional keypad which is not for me, other than that would be more than happy to use this phone everyday, (Opps I am silly me).

Please do come back for our next hands on review which will be about the functions, usability and more. Below you can see all the main specs and of course many many photos that I took of the LG Secret handset, please enjoy.
