ASUS next generation of Eee Pad Transformer revealed

The AsiaD in Hong Kong has shed some lights on the next generation Asus Eee Pad Transformer. Jonney Shih, Asus chairman, teased the media with the Transformer Prime, yes – that’s what it will be called. He also affirmed that it'll ship with a quad-core NVIDIA chip, 10-inch display, mini-HDMI port, a 14.5-hour battery, an SD card slot and a top lid that looks precisely like its Zenbook line.

Rumour: Asus Eee Pad Transformer 2 scheduled for November 7th release

There are rumours circulating on the internet stating that Asus Eee Pad Transformer 2 are scheduled for November 7th release date. Asus CEO Jerry Shen had also said that the company is planning to release the tablet before the end of the year, and that looks to be confirmed by UK retailer LambdaTek. Asus announces the new ROG CG6190 gaming PC powered by Intel’s latest Core i7 processor and X58 chipset. The ROG CG6190 packs the Core i7 or Core i7 Extreme Edition processor, and up to 12GB of triple channel DDR3 RAM. It supports SATA II hard drives up to 4TB and NVIDIA 3-way SLI and ATI CrossFireX dedicated graphic card.

The Asus ROG CG6190 has also the SupremeFX X-Fi Audio Card providing support for 3D nine virtual speakers. Asus did not announced the availability and pricing.

Asus N50Vn and N50Vc Notebook PCs

Other than the N20, N80Vn and N80Vc , Asus launches the N50Vn and N50Vc laptops of its N50 series. Basically, the N50Vn and N50Vc are the same. Both of them are powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo T9400/P8600/P7350/T5850 processor, and up to 4GB of memory, They get up to 500GB hard drive and either a DVD SuperMulti burner or a Blu-ray DVD Combo drive.

One of the differences between them is the graphic card. The N50Vc has a NVIDIA GeForce 9300M GS with 512MB VRAM while the N50Vn is equipped with a NVIDIA GeForce 9650M GT, with 1GB VRAM.

Asus N50Vn and Asus N50Vc feature also a 15.4-inch LED backlit LCD display, a 2 Megapixel webcam, and a 8-in-1 card reader. They both offer WiMAX mobile broadband, WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n and optional Bluetooth connectivity. The N50Vc comes with also 3G/3.5G module. They have also a Hybrid TV Tuner (Analog+DVB-T) and Altec Lansing speakers and offers HDMI input, and an eSATA port.

Asus N80Vc and N80Vn Notebooks

Asus presents the N80Vc and the N80Vn notebook of its N80 series. Both N80Vc and N80Vn are Centrino 2 based laptop powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo T9400/P8600/P8400/P7350/T5900/T5800 processor, up to 4GB of RAM, up to 320GB 5400rpm hard drive.

Of course, there are some difference between the two models. The N80Vc packs a NVIDIA GeForce 9300M GS graphic card with 512MB VRAM and an optional Digital TV Tuner (DVB-T) while the N80Vn gets a NVIDIA GeForce 9650M GT video card with 1GB VRAM and integrated Hybrid TV Tuner (Analog+DVB-T).

They have also integrated DVD SuperMulti burner or a Blu-ray DVD combo optical drive, a 14.1-inch CCFL or LED backlit LCD display, a 1.3 Megapixel webcam and a 8-in-1 card reader.

As for connectivity, N80Vn and N80Vc supports WiFi 802.11a/g/b/n, ethernet LAN, five USB ports and optional Bluetooth.

Asus P552w PDA phone with Glide UI

Asus launches in Taiwan its new P552w PDA phone that comes with the Glide touch-responsive user interface. Asus P552w supports 3.5G HSDPA, UMTS 2100 and tri-band GSM networks.

P552w is powered by a Marvel Tavor 624MHz processor, 256MB flash and 128MB DDR RAM. It features a 2.8-inch 240×320 touchscreen display, WiFi 802.11b/g, Bluetooth, integrated SiRF StarIII GPS chipset with internal antenna for navigation and a microSD/SDHC card slot.

Asus P552w has also a 2 Megapixel camera that can record MPEG4 or H.263 videos at 24fps. It runs Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional OS.

Asus N10 Netbook priced at $849.00

Asus N10 Netbook

J&R has added to its online shop the Asus N10 (model: N10JA2) netbook PC and priced the N10 at US $849., which is the premium version of Asus’ Eee PC netbook. This Asus N10 is powered by Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz processor, 2GB of memory, GeForce 9300M GS video card and 250GB hard drive.

N10 features also a 10.2-inch LCD display, WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n, a fingerprint reader and a webcam. It runs Windows Vista Business. It looks like the N10 is the official version of the S101.

Asus N10 unveiled in Korea

Asus presents the N10 netbook at the ‘ASUS World 2008′ in Korea. The N10 is the premium version of Asus’s Eee PC netbook. It is powered by Intel Atom N270 processor and NVIDIA GeForce 9300GS graphic card. It has a 10.2-inch LED backlit display. It looks like the N10 is just the same as the S101.
