Sanyo announced its second generation waterproof digital camcorder, the Xacti E2. The Xacti E2 features a 8 Megapixel CMOS image sensor, a 5x optical zoom lens, Photo Face Detection and Video Face Chaser technology, anti-shake digital image stabilizer and a 2.5-inch LCD display.
Sanyo E2 camcorder supports simultaneous shooting of 8 Megapixel images and 640×480 videos with a single press on the shutter button during video shooting. E2 make use of the Advanced AVC/H.264 Video Compression technology for better video quality and smaller file size. User can also import videos easily to the iTunes software then to video capable iPod players.
Sanyo’s Xacti E2 is complaint with the IPX8 International Standard for Waterproof that allows the camcorder to submersible to a depth of five feet for 60 minutes. Sanyo Xacti E2 comes with 44MB internal memory and supports up to 32GB of SDHC cards.
